Following the release of MagiConnect last month, ORing has expanded its SaaS portfolio with the launch of MagiCollect, a cloud service for remote data collection. Based on ORing's PaaS cloud platform and compliance with MQTT standard, MagiCollect enables users to easily collect data from MQTT-driven devices and sensors.

Remote data collection for ease of data access

MagiCollect has been integrated with ORing's ConnectGateways IDS-4312D+ and IMG-4312D to facilitate real-time data collection from field-site devices such as Modbus TCP or serial devices. The data is then placed on ORing's PaaS Cloud where administrators and customers can access anytime and anywhere, thus significantly improving device management efficiency and troubleshooting.

Role-based user interfaces

MagiCollect offers two kinds of interfaces for different roles, including the MagiCollect dashboard for technicians/programmers and the MagiCollect Portal for administrators. They can view device status, channel information such as DI/DO, relay, AI, and Modbus, and device information on the dashboard and portal. They can also control the DI/DO of the ConnectGateways on the cloud.

View data from different sites at the same time

With a data logger database to store all IoT data, MagiCollector makes management of multiple sites a no-brainer since users can view data from different geographical locations in a glance in a single panel without toggling between multiple screens. Furthermore, restful APIs are provided to help users develop their own applications.

MagiCollector, along with MagiConnect, as part of ORing's SaaS solution will be provided free of charge to customers for the entire 2020.
