ORing to Showcase Next-Generation TSN Railway Networking Solutions at InnoTrans 2026, Enabling Faster, Safer, and Smarter Rail Communications
📅 Event Date: September 22–25, 2026
🚩 Booth: Hall 4.1, Booth 255
📍 Location: Berlin, Germany

As the global rail industry continues to advance toward digitalization, automation, and intelligent operations, applications such as train control, onboard surveillance, Passenger Information Systems (PIS), train-to-ground communications, and predictive maintenance all depend on high-bandwidth, low-latency, and highly reliable network infrastructure. Industrial networking provider ORing Industrial Networking will showcase its next-generation railway networking solutions at InnoTrans 2026, taking place in Berlin, Germany, from September 22 to 25, 2026. The exhibition will highlight key technologies including Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), 10GbE backbone connectivity, PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt), OT (Operational Technology) cybersecurity, and ITxPT, helping rail operators build high-performance, secure communications infrastructure with the scalability to support future expansion.

Recognized as the world's leading trade fair for transport technology, InnoTrans provides the ideal platform for ORing to introduce a range of upcoming EN 50155 networking products. These new solutions demonstrate the company's continued investment in railway Ethernet networking, onboard communications, deterministic networking, and industrial cybersecurity.

TSN Railway Switch Series: Deterministic Low-Latency Networking with Precise Time Synchronization

ORing's new TSN railway switch series delivers deterministic low-latency communications, precise time synchronization, and highly reliable data transmission. Designed for train control, video surveillance, Passenger Information Systems, and other mission-critical real-time applications, the series enables onboard communication networks that combine deterministic performance with high availability.

10GbE Backbone: High-Bandwidth Connectivity for Onboard and Trackside Networks

The new product family features 10GbE uplink connectivity to support the growing bandwidth demands of high-resolution CCTV, AI-powered video analytics, onboard Wi-Fi, and multimedia services. This high-speed backbone enhances overall network capacity and scalability for both onboard and trackside applications.

IEEE 802.3bt PoE++: Data and Power over a Single Ethernet Cable

To simplify deployment and reduce installation costs, the new series supports PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) high-power Ethernet. A single Ethernet cable can simultaneously deliver both power and data to IP cameras, wireless access points, display systems, and other intelligent devices, improving deployment efficiency and simplifying maintenance for rolling stock and railway infrastructure.

OT Cybersecurity and CRA Compliance: Designed to Meet IEC 62443-4-2 SL2 Requirements

As OT cybersecurity becomes increasingly critical, ORing continues to strengthen the security of its railway networking solutions. The showcased products are designed in accordance with the IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 (SL2) cybersecurity requirements and the relevant requirements of the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Compliance assessment is currently in progress to help railway operators address evolving cybersecurity risks and regulatory requirements.

ITxPT Demo Box: Showcasing Onboard Network Interoperability

ORing will also exhibit its ITxPT Demo Box, featuring a static hardware display that demonstrates onboard networking applications built on the ITxPT (Information Technology for Public Transport) architecture. Visitors can gain a better understanding of interoperability between onboard systems and how train communications, surveillance, passenger services, and remote management can be integrated to support the deployment of intelligent public transportation platforms.

The new TSN railway switch series is scheduled for release in mid-2027, further expanding ORing's railway networking portfolio.

ORing's Long-Term Commitment to the Railway Networking Market

ORing has been serving the railway networking market for many years, offering a comprehensive portfolio that includes EN 50155 Ethernet switches, wireless access points, cellular routers, and onboard backbone switches. These products are widely deployed in onboard train networks, trackside communications, station surveillance, and Passenger Information Systems.

Designed for demanding railway environments, ORing's solutions feature wide operating temperature support, M12 connectors, hardware bypass, high-speed fiber connectivity, and 10GbE backbone capabilities. They also support railway communication protocols such as TTDP and TRDP, enabling rapid network reconfiguration when train consists are rearranged while maximizing system availability and operational efficiency.

Over the years, ORing has successfully supported railway and high-speed rail projects across Taiwan, Europe, the United States, and other parts of Asia, building extensive expertise in railway networking deployments.
