Leading industrial Ethernet switch provider ORing announced a new addition to its TX-series. The new TXES-150-M12 unmanaged Ethernet switch features EN50155 compliance, upgraded 500Mbps Ethernet speed over 4-wire Ethernet cables common used in trains, and M12 robust connectors, giving railway operators a more cost-effective networking solution and more flexibility in port number and data rate.

The TX-series portfolio, currently comprised of the TGXPS-1080, TXPS-1080-M12, and TGXS-1080-M12, supports different data rates including 10 Mbps 100 Mbps, 500 Mbps, and 1 Gbps in a robust industrial design, allowing railway customers to upgrade existing networks affordably and easily. The new TXES-150-M12 comes with 5 copper ports in the form of 4-pin D-coded M12 connector to ensure tight, robust connections and guarantee reliable connections against environmental disturbances, such as vibration and shock. With a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 75°C, the switch ensures uninterrupted operations in harsh environments. The high data speed makes the TXES-150-M12 a great choice for connecting with on-board IP cameras to transmit high-bandwidth surveillance images to ensure enhanced safety and security at railway premises. It is also ideal for connecting with other network devices to provide entertainment services for passengers such as live streaming services and cloud computing.

“The launch of the TXES-150-M12 is part of our commitment to provide high-quality products catering to different customers’ needs because it offers customers another option when deploying railway networks and,” said ORing CEO Angus Shih. “So far, ORing has made significant achievements and milestones in the railway sector, both in Taiwan and overseas. By providing customers with more cost-effective and flexible choices, we can accelerate the modernization of railway networks”
