Over the years, PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology has been widely adopted in industrial applications due to the benefits of fast installation and low operating costs. However, as IoT emerges as the next technology mega-trend, more and more power-hungry devices are connected to the network, leading to a radical increase in power demand. To keep up with the pace of power demand, ORing has developed a complete portfolio of high-power PoE products ranging from Ethernet switches to media converters, injectors, and splitters. These products are compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at standards and provide 60W of budget power.

Although IEEE802.3af/at PoE standard can power many PD devices, the output power is not sufficient for high power consumption devices such as network PTZ cameras and high power bullet cameras. The next PoE standard, IEEE 802.3bt, has thus been developed. The high-power PoE standard boosts the power budget of each port to 60W or even 90W, making it ideal for devices such as videoconferencing systems, building management devices, PoS systems, LED lamps, and PTZ cameras. ORing's comprehensive high-power PoE solution consists of the IPMC-111PB++-60W PoE media converter, the PET-102GT++ PoE extender, the SPL-101GT++-12V and SPL-101GT++-24V PoE splitters, the INJ-101GT++-60W PoE injector, and the IGPS-1111GTP-95W-24V and IGPS-9084GP-60W PoE switches.

The PET-102GT++ high power PoE extender unveiled in late 2016 is designed to help you extend the connection easily without redeploying cables. Simply connect the extender in-line with a Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable and the extender is up and running. The IPMC-111PB-60W high power PoE media converter comes with a compact size to save space in installation cabinets. It enables connections of Ethernet equipment over a fiber optic cable to extend the distance of network communications. The media converter supports LFP (Link Fault Pass-through), which can be easily enabled with a DIP-switch. When enabled, any link failure on one side of the media converter will be passed to the other side, enabling subsequent devices connected to the other side to respond properly.

The high-power PoE injector is a cost-effective solution when only a small number of PoE devices is needed. The INJ-101GT++-60W will not be enabled unless it detects a valid PoE signature from the connected PoE device, thereby protecting non-PoE compliant equipment on the same network from damage. Supplying power to a non-PoE device from a PoE switch is made easy with the SPL-101GT++ as it splits off the power and the data, allowing your device to be powered via an external PoE switch as if it had local power supply.

The IGPS-1111GTP-95W-24V and the IGPS-9084GP-60W are high power PoE Ethernet switches featuring full Gigabit ports. The IGPS-1111GTP-95W-24V unmanaged Ethernet switch provides 95W PoE P.S.E power with 24V DC power input, the highest power output in this portfolio. The IGPS-9084GP-60W is a managed Ethernet switch with smart PoE management capabilities. You can configure each port individually to make the most use of PoE power. For example, you can choose reserved power mode for each port, set up primary power source, select power priority, and specify maximum power.
