To meet the rising demand for high-performance industrial networking, ORing today introduced two full-Gigabit industrial Ethernet switches—the IGS-9822DGP+ and IGPS-9822DGP+—featuring dual 10G uplink ports. These new models provide a cost-effective and high-speed solution for seamless connectivity between field sites and control centers.
Designed to accommodate diverse networking needs, the IGS-9822DGP+ and IGPS-9822DGP+ offer a versatile mix of ports, including eight 1G copper ports, two 2.5G ports, and two 10G SFP ports. The 10G ports serve as uplink connections, ensuring high-speed data transmission from field devices, while the 2.5G ports are ideal for connecting next-generation 2.5G access points (APs), which are seeing increasing adoption. This strategic combination of 2.5G and 10G connectivity makes these switches an ideal bridge between wireless and wired networks, particularly in IP surveillance and high-bandwidth applications.
For deployments requiring Power over Ethernet (PoE), the IGPS-9822DGP+ delivers added convenience. Equipped with eight PoE-enabled Gigabit copper ports, it supplies up to 30W per port, efficiently powering IP cameras and other PoE devices while minimizing cabling complexity and reducing installation costs—especially in remote or hard-to-wire locations.
As with all ORing industrial Ethernet switches, these models support an array of advanced network redundancy protocols, including ORing’s proprietary O-Ring and O-Chain technologies, as well as MRP and G.8032 ERPS, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity. With high-bandwidth uplinks, dense port configurations, and long-distance SFP support, the IGS-9822DGP+ and IGPS-9822DGP+ provide a cost-effective, high-speed solution for data transmission to servers and storage devices, making them a robust choice for industrial networking applications.
