To cater to customer needs for higher levels of security and reliability, ORing has announced an enhanced model of the RGS-92222GCP-NP-E, a managed industrial Ethernet switch with a high port density. The new model features two DC power inputs in addition to the original AC power supply and a relay output to provide a more reliable IP network for customers.The advanced model, known as RGS-92222GCP-NP-E, is equipped with two DC power inputs with a wide input range between 20 and 72VDC to offer power redundancy. When one of the power modules breaks down, the other will take over immediately to ensure uninterrupted operation.
The RGS-92222GCP-NP-E also provides relay output function which can be used to trigger external devices connected to the switch such as alarm systems or sirens. When configuring the switch, users can define warning conditions and actions to be taken during an emergency to enable faster, more precise emergency response.
With 24 Gigabit ports, the switch is ideal for providing high-performance aggregated connectivity for large-scale industrial networks to support bandwidth-hungry multimedia and video applications. Large volumes of traffic such as IP surveillance images can travel across the network rapidly. Long distance transmission is made possible as the switch houses two SFP slots, making it a cost-effective solution between the core layer and the edge layer on the network.
Other key features include support for ORing's proprietary redundancy technologies O-Ring and O-Chain, a wide operating temperature from -40 to 75oC, and an embedded backup unit device DBU-01 for easy backup operations. All settings of the switches can be stored or restored to previous conditions within seconds via the console port, significantly simplifying the configuration of large network layouts.
