In light with growing adoption of MQTT in IoT applications, ORing today announced that its ORing-PaaS will support MQTT Sparkplug, providing users with a higher level of convenience and control over their devices.
Defined by the Sparkplug specification, MQTT features versatility and lightweight design, making it an ideal protocol for IoT applications where communications between low-powered devices such as sensors are needed. Within this infrastructure, Edge of Network (EoN) gateways or MQTT-enabled devices and MQTT applications can communicate bi-directionally.
By integrating MQTT Sparkplug support with ORing-PaaS, any MQTT-enabled devices can access MQTT Sparkplug functions easily on ORing's cloud platform. For example, users can visualize the relationships between EoN and devices easily. They can also use the Last Will function to gain more visibility into connection status. When the link is disconnected unexpectedly, users will receive notifications.
ORing-PaaS also provides a powerful MQTT Sparkplug tool, enabling users to monitor the delivery of MQTT packages. With MQTT, users can manage their IoT devices more efficiently.
