IT week 2026 04

Japan IT Week 2026 Spring is set to take place from April 8 to 10. ORing Industrial Networking, a global leader in industrial networking and cybersecurity solutions, will join forces with its Japanese partner WiSECURE Technologies to demonstrate industrial cybersecurity solutions at the event, guiding attendees through how enterprises can leverage hardware-level security mechanisms to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of industrial equipment and semiconductor production lines, even when an operating system has been compromised.

As the manufacturing and semiconductor industries continue their push toward smart manufacturing and digital transformation, cybersecurity risks within Operational Technology (OT) environments are receiving growing attention. Against the backdrop of international standards such as SEMI E187 and IEC 62443 being progressively adopted, enterprises are placing ever-higher demands on the trustworthiness of equipment inspection results, maintenance records, and system data. Yet a critical challenge remains: if the host operating system running the inspection tools is itself compromised, inspection results and log data can be falsified, exposing the limitations of traditional software-based cybersecurity defenses.

To address this need, ORing has launched OPS Pro. With a plug-and-play USB design, OPS Pro requires no agent installation or additional software to initiate a security inspection workflow. Once connected, OPS Pro immediately performs malware scanning and endpoint security checks, delivering a rapid assessment of the security status across OT and IT systems and automatically generating health check reports to help operations and security personnel stay on top of device integrity.

OPS Pro also functions as a secure gateway for USB data ingestion, scanning and verifying external storage devices and data before they enter the system to ensure they are free of malware, reducing the risk of USB devices becoming vectors for cyberattacks. In addition, OPS Pro provides encrypted, auditable file transfer capabilities to safeguard documents and device data during exchange, while maintaining a complete operation log to minimize the risk of data leakage.

Worth noting is OPS Pro's built-in SEMI E187 inspection and analysis functionality, developed in-house by ORing. This feature helps enterprises collect system security data and automatically generate detailed assessment reports, ensuring equipment consistently meets the requirements of international cybersecurity standards such as SEMI E187.

OPS Pro officially launched in March 2026. By integrating malware scanning, system health checks, inspection report generation, and secure file transfer into a single cohesive workflow, OPS Pro delivers a complete OT cybersecurity inspection process, enabling enterprises to build a fast and reliable security defense without relying on network connectivity or complex installations. Going forward, ORing remains committed to deepening the integration of industrial networking and cybersecurity, helping enterprises establish safer, more resilient, and internationally compliant industrial cybersecurity frameworks across smart manufacturing and critical infrastructure environments.
