The "VeriPHY Cable Diagnostics" provide the information of cable length and operating status. The diagnostics is only accurate for cables length from 7 to 140 meters. Using less or longer cable exceed the length range may cause inaccurate in test result.
The following items will be showed once the test has completed:
● Cable length
When use a properly cable, VeriPHY will return result of "OK" on all of the four cable pairs (A, B, C, D) and show the approximate cable length.
● Cable pair termination
If the cable pair is improperly terminated, the "Open" or "Short" state will be recognized.
● Coupling between cable pairs
Diagnostics Abnormal cross-pair coupling in pair.
